We are a small business started by two friends that share the same passion for their craft. We both have a long experience of working in a retail bakery environment, this means that we know the value of customer service.

We started Sugar Bees in March 2005, solely to provide decorations for busy parents to put on top of either a shop bought or home-made celebration cake to make it a bit more personal.

We started by selling our cake top decorations in a few choice retail outlets and at craft fairs, but we soon realized that people really wanted to purchase the completed cake, so Sugar Bees evolved into a  bespoke service for celebration cakes. We now hand-make cakes for all occasions, even catering for school fetes.

Our cakes are all Homemade to order, using quality ingredients. We use unsalted butter & free-range eggs in all of our products.

We now make many types & flavors of cake, including traditional rich Fuit Cake (flavoured with your choice of french brandy, sherry or whiskey), Vanilla Genoese Sponge, Carrot Cake, Luscious Lemon cake or Chocolate Mud cake.  All of these can be decorated in your choice of chocolate, sugar paste or royal icing.

Sugar Bees  still provide products for people wishing to finish their own cake, these include hand-made sugar flowers, models, cake-top decorations, ribbons, candles, boards, boxes, ribbons & sugar-craft equipment & ingredients, we also make fruit cake bases to order.
